This is a very nice 10 house poultry farm that has recently been updated. The poultry broiler farm is located in Ovett, MS on 70 acres of pretty pastureland. The farm is a very high-income producing farm that grows a 9lb chicken for one of the country's largest poultry companies that offers a long-term contract. The farm has a total of 10 broiler houses which gives you 226,000 sq ft of production. Six 46 x 500' houses were built in 2013, one 44' x 500' built in 2006, and three 44' x 500' built in 1999. All houses have recently been updated and are in very good shape. They are equipped with Cumberland feeders, Plasson Drinkers, Rotem Controllers, Direct Spark Brooders, and Acme fans. The poultry houses have solid walls, drop ceilings, vent machines, and cool cells. The farms have 3 generators, wells, and community water for backup supply. The farm has a 40' x 100' dry stack litter shed, 40' x 45' compost, 72' x 60' hay shed, and office with a bathroom. The farm has a nice lot for a home that previously had a mobile home. The farm is a working cattle farm and has cattle on it now. It is fenced and crossed fenced. There are 2 nice size ponds for livestock and do have fish in them. Jones County is the poultry capital of Mississippi and has 4 different large poultry companies that have farms in the area. Also, there are poultry supply companies to help keep the farms running. Larger farms are hard to find and this is one you will want to see. Please call to make an appointment 48 hours in advance.
